According to the USDA, the estimate of corn production in Brazil grows to 120 million tons in 2023

For the 2022/2023 season, the USDA initially estimated the production of 118 million tons of corn in Brazil. With the new estimate, around 2 million tons more are expected, totaling 120 million tons. The increase is positive. Compared to the previous year's estimate (2021/2022), there was a 3.45% increase in estimated production.

According to the USDA report, the high demand from the poultry industry, high export prices and the availability of fertilizers are points that encourage producers to continue investing in corn production.

Export:

The initial estimate for the 2022/2023 season was 44.5 million tonnes and rose to 46.5 million, which is 2 million tonnes more. This new number reflects the producers' positive expectations regarding domestic production and external demand for the next season.

Intern consumption:

Regarding domestic corn consumption estimated for 2022/2023, there was an increase of 2.7% compared to the previous season, resulting in an estimate of 75 million tons.
